Dissertation help in Chennai

Master’s dissertation help for Chennai students.

For scholars in Chennai, worked remotely from Nagercoil. Checked .

Yes, we help Master’s students in Chennai plan, draft, analyse and format their dissertation or project report, working remotely from Nagercoil.

There is no office of ours in Chennai, so no campus meetings. Students mostly share the college template and drafts on WhatsApp or mail, and we discuss them on a call. For how we help with a Master’s report in general, see our dissertation writing page.

A big number of Master’s students in Chennai study in colleges affiliated to Anna University. Anna’s PG regulations are very detailed on project work, from the semester and reviews to marks and the due date. So most of this page is on those rules. We have also added the medical PG dissertation at the M.G.R. Medical University, and where we found no published rule we said so.

Anna University M.E./M.Tech: two project phases and the 60-day deadline

The Anna University Regulations 2021 for affiliated institutions apply from 2021–22 to M.E., M.Tech and MCA students in non-autonomous affiliated colleges and in the University Colleges of Engineering. The copy we went through was put up by one affiliated college, and the amended clauses are inside it. Please ask your college office once whether this copy is same as the one they follow.

In M.E. and M.Tech the project is done in two parts. Project Work-I is in the third semester. Project Work-II is the continuation of it in the fourth semester, and it runs for at least 16 weeks (3.4–3.5). If Project Work-I is not completed, you have to repeat it and you cannot register for Project Work-II till it is cleared.

Project Work-II can also be done outside your college, in industry, in a research institution, or in an academic institution of repute that is not an Anna affiliated college. For this you need approval from your head of institution and from the Centre for Academic Courses, preferably one month before you start (3.4.4). An industry project does not have to continue your Project Work-I. It is guided jointly by your supervisor in the department and an expert from that organisation.

On the deadline the rule is clear. You must give the final project report within 60 calendar days from the last working day of the semester. For Project Work-I, the report is due on the last working day of that semester itself. Miss the date and you are treated as failed in the project work, and must register again.

How the project is marked

Marks for an M.E./M.Tech project as per Anna University Regulations 2021 (affiliated colleges)
PartWho marks itMarks
Review I, II and IIIReview committee of your supervisor, one expert from the department and the project coordinator20 each, total 60
Thesis submissionExternal examiner10
Viva-voceExternal examiner, internal examiner and your supervisor10 each, total 30

Many student miss this point. If your marks in the internal reviews are below 50%, you are not allowed to submit the project report at all. You register for it again in a later semester (6.3). So treat each review seriously, the marks there decide whether your report even reaches the university. Carry some written pages to every review and not just the slides. For the first review a problem statement and the literature is enough. In the second they expect your design and early results, and by the third the report should be almost complete.

The Controller of Examinations appoints the internal and external examiners for the viva. If you fail in the viva, you have to resubmit the report within 60 days of the results, and the same examiners will read it again.

M.G.R. Medical University: 25% limit and four uploads

For M.G.R. Medical University students, it is mostly an MD, MS or other PG dissertation. The library’s plagiarism page gives a simple process for checking it. Whole dissertation goes in one upload, as a single file. Chapter-wise uploading is not allowed. The acceptable limit is 25%, and matches of up to twelve continuous words are accepted. You can use the web tool up to four times only.

When the result is below 25%, print a screenshot of it and attach with the hard copy. If it comes above 25%, rewrite those portions in your own words and check again in the same tool. The page also asks for a certificate from your guide, and lists a plagiarism check fee of ₹1,000 collected along with the dissertation fee.

Four attempts may look like a lot. If the first one goes on a rough draft, only three are left for real corrections. Better to do the upload first time only when the dissertation is finished.

Distance MCA, and the rules we could not find

For the distance MCA, Anna University’s distance education centre has put up an MCA project report guide. It asks for five copies. The body, from Chapter 1 to the last chapter, should not go above 60 pages. The abstract should be given in both English and Tamil, in not more than 600 words. This guide is only for the distance MCA, so don’t follow it for a regular M.E. or MBA.

As of October 2026, two things we could not find on any official site. One is an Anna University manual for regular MBA project reports in affiliated colleges. The other is University of Madras rules for PG dissertations. College templates also differ, some ask for 12-point type and some for 13. Ask your department for its template and similarity limit in writing. Also, INFLIBNET’s ShodhShuddhi accounts are not given to PG students, so your check will run on whichever tool your college or university is using.

How it works from Chennai

Send us your programme, college, review dates and the template your department has given. If it is an Anna University project, tell us which review is coming next. For an M.G.R. dissertation, tell us how many times you have already uploaded to the web tool.

We check your work so far and make a week-wise plan ending on your actual deadline. If data analysis is also needed, our Chennai data analysis page covers it. Chapters are returned in tracked changes, and the front pages we set as per your college format at the last stage.

We will not attend your reviews or talk on your behalf there. Before each review, we can go through the likely committee questions with you on a call, so the 20 marks don’t depend on some question you never expected.

Questions from Chennai scholars

Can I do my M.E. Project Work-II at a company in Chennai?

Yes, clause 3.4.4 allows it. Your head of institution and the Centre for Academic Courses have to approve it, ideally one month before you start. Then your department supervisor and a company expert guide it together.

What happens if I miss the 60-day deadline for my final report?

As per the Regulations 2021, you are treated as failed in the project work. You have to register for it again in a later semester. Plan so the report is ready well before the 60 days.

My MD dissertation is at 31%. What should I do?

Hold on before uploading again. Total you have four attempts only, and if this 31% came from that tool, one is already used. Send the full report to us. We sort the matches and work through the rewriting with you before the next upload.

Is the Tamil abstract required for my M.E. project?

We did not see it in the Regulations 2021 copy we read. The distance MCA guide does ask for an abstract in English and Tamil. If you are doing regular M.E., your college template will tell you, so look there once.

Who examines my M.E. project at the viva?

The internal and external examiners are appointed by the Controller of Examinations. Your supervisor also marks with them, each out of 10. Be ready to explain why you chose your method, as they ask that and not only about results.
